A barbershop, but on a different scale. Most take up a room or two; Barber 12 fills a whole building — a row of barber chairs plus separate treatment rooms, so a group stays together instead of being split up. Ten people have come at once.

It is Korean-run. In a barbershop everything is decided in conversation — how much to take off, which course to take — so being able to just say it in Korean matters more here than most places.

It is clean, and the photos show it: the waiting area, the chairs and the treatment rooms are all bright and kept in order.

There is a course you will not find in an ordinary barbershop — a face treatment with an ampoule applied by machine. Everyone who tries it mentions that one first.

There is also a course that is not on the menu. Ask us and we will tell you.

The 12 in the name is the street number, one alley in from the main road, with a barber pole outside. This is Cau Giay, not Dinh Thon — about ten minutes on foot from the Nam Trung Yen venues.
