Myeongwol is a private-room sit-down restaurant in Fivestar C5, Dinh Thon. Every room closes, so nobody is watching your table.

Its strength is the price. Around twenty hostesses are on hand, and sitting with you costs 100,000 VND an hour — light enough that you are not counting the meter. It suits an easy night with friends rather than a formal business dinner.

The food is not an afterthought. The 20-dish Korean spread starts with 15 side dishes: the standard set (pork ribs, spicy chicken, whelks, grilled mackerel, fritters, fruit and soups) is 980,000 VND per person, the premium set (braised beef ribs, bossam, eel, fritters, fruit) 1,300,000 VND. After 8pm you can also order the anju platter.

The sign carries both the Korean name and the Vietnamese one, Trăng Sáng — that is the name to give a taxi driver. Massage places are a minute away on foot and karaoke is next door.
